In addition to her work as a music publicist, Jane has carried out effective PR campaigns in the fields of theatre, tv drama, visual arts, conservation, food and drink, sport, business and industry.
A trained journalist, she has written for hotel guides and travel magazines, national newspapers, music magazines and horticulture periodicals; as a researcher she has been engaged by organizations from Keycamp Holidays to The Cartoon Channel and The Body Shop. Key projects have ranged from the Buy Fresh, Buy Local campaign for South East Food Group Partnership to the Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards in Paris and the World Transplant Games in Sydney.
In the world of broadcasting she has worked for broadcasters including BBC-tv, Discovery Television and UKTV as well as Meridian Broadcasting, where she handled publicity for series presented by Alan Titchmarsh and Michael Palin.
Former Press Officer for Chichester Festival Theatre, Jane continues to promote theatre tours and arts festivals while, since leaving a staff job as a BBC TV publicist, she has publicised BBC dramas on a freelance basis.
As a garden writer, she regularly reports on the RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows while she also has experience as a sports writer, working as tennis correspondent for The News, Portsmouth and contributing to ACE magazine. In this role she covered Wimbledon and WTA/ATP tour championships and interviewed some of the world’s top-ranking players of the time, including Chris Evert and Bjorn Borg.
With a wealth of contacts amassed during a widespread PR career, Jane can carry out promotional campaigns with all media sectors, at local, regional and national level – print media, broadcast media and online outlets - whether you want to boost ticket sales for a UK theatre tour, get more people turning up to see your art exhibition, raise awareness of a conservation issue or make sure the public know about your new product or service.
